Burhill Golf Club in Walton celebrated its centenary year by hosting the 70th Family Foursomes Week.
Last year's winners, the mother and son team of Ann and Alexander Gems, from Malden, retained the title they won 12 months ago.
They pipped Elaine Watts (Hoebridge) and Michael Watts (West Hill) by one hole in a tense final, thanks to Alexander holding a 10-footer on the final green.
Winners of the Langmead Morgan Trophy, for the best performance at the formal practice session on the Monday, were Tom and Melanie Hayes from West Byfleet.
The Anna Cowan Trophy, a foursomes Stableford, is open to all competitors who failed to win a place in the semi-finals, was taken by Burhill pair Helen and James Taylorson.
Burhill director Pip Elson said: "This year's Family Foursome attracted competitors from across southern England.
"Despite the somewhat unseasonable weather, there was a fantastic turnout to watch the players, and the Gems' repeat of last year's success in what turned out to be a extremely exciting final."
