Peter Duncan and his Surrey tourists returned from their base in Sidmouth on Saturday following a highly successful President's Tour to South Devon, writes Mike Haigh.
His men's team played half a dozen six-rink matches while the players other halves' played five three-rink matches.
The men enjoyed four comprehensive victories and one suprise defeat by club sides as well as being handed a bowling lesson by a Devon county side including several of their 2007 Middleton Cup winning team at Topsham BC.
David Clarke, with fours wins out of five and a plus-65 bowls difference and Peter Jacobs, with the same win ratio and a plus-34 bowls difference, were Surrey's most successful bowlers during the week.
Surrey's women won all five of their games.
