The over-40 veteran clocked 16:29 to finish six seconds ahead of Tom Karra, with South London Harriers' Ray Marriot third.

Justina Heslop of Clapham Chasers (18:26) made it nine wins in 12 attempts in the women's race, finishing nearly two minutes clear of Thames Hare & Hounds' Kate Symons with Epsom & Ewell Harriers' Jane Stephens third.
