Banstead's Paul Rivett hopes to build on his victory at Brands Hatch when he races in front of a bumper crowd at Donington Park this weekend.
More than 250,000 free tickets have already been issued for this weekend's World Series by Renault motorsport festival at the Leicestershire circuit, which will include the ninth round of this season's Elf Renault Clio Cup.
Rivett, the Clio Cup champion in 2002 and 2004, said: "I have only managed one race this season due to budget problems, but winning at Brands Hatch has given me a huge boost.
"I raced at World Series last season and got on the podium. It would be fantastic to repeat that in front of such a huge crowd."
