Thames Hare & Hounds' John McFarlane led the local contingent home in Sunday's Flora London Marathon and took the individual bronze medal in the England championships.

The 34-year-old marathon international was fourth UK finisher and 15th overall in the men's race, clocking 2:22.18 to knock more than four minutes off his previous best set in 2004.
