Veteran runners led the field home in the Wimbledon Common 5km time trial on Saturday.
South London Harrier Chris Phelan, 46, making his first appearance in the event, ran out a comfortable winner in 17 minutes nine seconds.
He finished 21 seconds ahead of fellow veteran Tim Woods, 50, from Ranelagh Harriers, who was also running in the event for the first time.
Early leader Diarmid Maher from Clapham Chasers paid the price for his initial enthusiasm to finish in third in 17:42.
Herne Hill's Clare Pauzers dashed the hat-trick hopes of Team Kennet's Rachael Elliott in the women's race as she stormed round the course in 18:48, the second best time by a woman. That took more than eight minutes off her previous best time and defeated Elliott by exactly a minute.
Ranelagh's Yvonne Hill was third woman (21:14).
