Esher can secure promotion to National League One with a win over Blackheath on Saturday.

A thrilling, hard-fought 34-29 victory at Nuneaton last Saturday left them five points short of guaranteed promotion and only eight away from clinching the Division Two title.

Nuneaton led 19-10 at half-time despite a try from Ruben Aiono, making his debut at inside centre.

Despite being down to 14 men for the opening of the second half, with Emmanuel Amapakabo yellow-carded for a head-butt, Esher began with a try after only one minute from hooker Simon Goldsmith, with Neil Hallett converting.

A converted try restored Nuneaton's nine-point advantage, but tries from Ladislav Vondrasek and Richard Briggs turned the match Esher's way.

Hallett was in fine form with the boot, converting both tries and kicking a penalty.

Esher's remaining league fixtures: March 31 Blackheath (h), April 7 Bradford & Bingley (a), 14 Cambridge (a), 21 Henley (h), 28 Wharfedale (a).

Skipper Richard Mahony's plea for Rosslyn Park to haul themselves clear of relegation danger fell on deaf ears on Saturday.

A determined start counted for nothing as an average Cinderford side ran out 47-20 winners.

Park go into Saturday's game with Dings Crusaders at Priory Lane in 10th place in the 14-team division, with Hertford and Clifton just behind them.

Chris King and Adrian Blemings scored Park's tries, with their other points coming from the boot of Richard Mahony.

Rosslyn Park's remaining league fixtures: March 31 Dings Crusaders (h). April 14 North Walsham (a), 21 Westcombe Park (h).

London Two South champions Sutton & Epsom cruised into the semi-finals of the Surrey Cup thanks to a 42-7 win over London South Africans on Saturday.

Even though the Surrey One outfit took a surprise fifth-minute lead through Van Zyl's converted try, Sutton had far too much in the locker and earned a semi-final trip to Cobham on April 21.

Graham Dowden, James Daniels, Andy Edwards, James Bennett, Lyndon Burrell and Simon Green scored Sutton's tries.

Sutton & Epsom's remaining league fixtures: March 31 Andover (a), April 14 Beckenham (h).

A rousing second-half performance from Old Wimbledonians was not quite enough to turn around Saturday's London Three South West fixture at Coombe Lane.

Tottonians led 17-0 within a minute of the restart, but Wimbledonians' strong for-ward play produced two tries from Des Nangle and Frankie de Souza.

Old Wimbledonians' remaining league fixtures: March 31 Old Mid-Whitgiftian (h), April 14 Old Reigatian (a).
