Oliver Hedger is already looking toward next year's Prudential RideLondon after being blown away by this year's event.
The 14-year-old Roehampton racer competed in the inaugurual Junior Men's Grand Prix on Saturday, racing around a 1.3 mile loop of St James Park as part of the two-day cycling festival.
Although he missed out on a top-10 finish, crossing the line in 13th in 31 minutes, 14 seconds, London Dynamo rider Hedger enjoyed the experience and wants more.
"It was good fun," said the Ibstock Place School pupil.
"It was really fast but the atmosphere was fantastic and it was great to be racing in your home town with crowds all around the course.
"This is my first year racing and I have always liked cycling but after last year it spurred me on to get racing.
"Watching the professionals was great inspiration, and I would love to come back next year."
Prudential RideLondon took place on August 3 and 4. If you’re inspired to ride, visit prudentialridelondon.co.uk.
