Rosslyn Park made enough unforced errors and conceded enough penalties to have lost three matches so there could be no complaints about their 34-16 defeat at Dings Crusaders on Saturday.

It didn't help Park's cause that top try scorer Niall Lear, scrum-half Rhys Lapidus, centre Chris King and the influential Lee Gibson were among those unavailable.

Skipper Richard Mahony kicked an early penalty, but Park conceded one themselves and a tap gave the Bristol side a try which was converted.

Another Mahony penalty saw Park trail only 7-6 and when Doug Rodman was stopped illegally Dings lost a man to the sin-bin.

Park looked certain to take the lead with a try until they knocked on, and instead conceded a coverted try after losing a scrum against the head.

But another Dings man was yellow-carded as Park hit back, with Mahony kicking a third penalty and converting a try by Tom Wells to put the visitors 16-14 ahead.

Dings rallied and regained the lead with a penalty when their winger, Goodall, was stopped illegally by Underwood, whose yellow card meant that Park started the second-half a man short.

Marcus McCluggage did not start the second-half either, due to an elbow in the face. Park's 14 men were soon overwhelmed by an assault on their line, and when they stopped it illegally the referee awarded a penalty try, the conversion stretching Dings' lead to 24-16.

With Adam Gates sent to the sin bin, Park conceded two more tries due to errors.
