Amateur cricket teams can win a training session with Lancashire County Cricket Club and a £1,000 sponsorship fund.

The competition, called The Wicket, is being organised by menswear brand, Jacamo, who are offering the unique prize as part of a contest to find the UK’s most dedicated cricket side.

As well as an exclusive training session with Lancashire County Cricket Club players and coaches, the winning club will receive a whopping £1,000 sponsorship fund.

The competition is open to all UK amateur teams, male or female, featuring players of any age and entering could not’t be easier.

All clubs need to do is submit 150-300 words about why they feel they deserve to win, with a team photograph, to competitions@jacamo.co.uk by July 15.

The most impressive ten will then be reviewed by a Jacamo judging panel, including Warren Hegg, Lancashire County Cricket Club legend and cricket journalist Andrew Miller.

The 10 finalists chosen will go before a public vote.

Friends and family can then choose their favourites via the Jacamo Facebook page between the July 19 and August 12, with the most popular crowned overall winner on August 13.

The winning team must be available to attend the coaching session on Tuesday 20th August 20 at Emirates Old Trafford.

The coaching session will be for up to 16 players and will include batting work in the nets and a fielding session on the pitch before watching the YB40 match against Hampshire Royals.

A total of 50 tickets will be provided for this game so family and friends can join the winning team.

The nine runners up will each receive a pair of tickets to a Lancashire County Cricket Club game at Emirates Old Trafford.
