Sam Mace of Walton Athletic Club was the top man at the Surrey County Championships bringing home four gold medals.

The U13 field star won the shot (12.05m), discus (35.37m) and javelin (40.65m) as well as the U15 hammer (29.92).

It was a fine day off the track for the club's men as Curtis Court won the U15 high jump with a leap of 1.56m, and Sawa Yamakawa won the long jump recording 5.62m.

Curtis Knight threw the hammer 44.73m to win the U20 title, while Craig Timmings won the senior pole vault, clearing 3.20m.

For the women, Sophie Mace, Lilsa O'Brien and Carla Letheby all won two golds at Kingsmeadow.

Mace took the shot (11.76m) and discus (39.11m) in the U15s, and O'Brien won the long jump (4.96m) as well as the 100m hurdles, clocking 15.94secs.

Letheby was dominant in the field winning the seniors discus (37.99m) and javelin (35.39m).

Tait Jones won the U13s discus (27.05m), and in the seniors, Helen Channon won the long jump (5.27m), Tina Howell took the triple jump (9.82) and Fiona Parry won the 1,500m clocking four minutes, 51seconds.
