Six Kingston College students have been selected for the Chelsea Ladies reserve team squad.

The players, who are students at the Women’s Football Academy, are Steph Anes, Louise Clarke, Zoe Fisher, Vicky Petrova, Millie York and Chloe Burr.

Vicky Petrova, who also made the squad against Arsenal Ladies Reserves, said: “It was great to be included in the 16 for such an important game and I hope to become a regular member of the starting 11 next season.”

Steph Anes also played for England College Against Ireland College earlier this month. This is the second game Steph has played in and England won - with Steph playing a key role setting up two goals.

Steph said: “It was great to be selected for England for the second time. I played in an unfamiliar position, playing right wing, but I adapted quickly and played well setting up two goals.”

Five other players also play for England and include Polly New, who plays for England under 19’s, Vicky Petrova, Millie York, Zoe Fisher and Chloe Burr, who all play for England under 17’s.

Millie said: “It was brilliant opportunity to test myself against some of the best 17 year old footballers in the country. I think all the Chelsea Academy players did really well and hope we can all continue improving into the future.”

The Kingston College Women’s Academy took part in the five a side tournament during the recent British Colleges Sport National Championships held at Loughborough University. The team came fifth and the South East region is celebrating its third victory after the event.

Nine regions battled it out in 14 sports and 54 sporting events to win the prestigious Wilkinson Sword. The South East won by a huge 31 points which is a new record.
