Corinthian Casuals began their pre-season tour of Wales with a 2-0 defeat at Prestatyn Town on Saturday.

Prestatyn took the lead on 33 minutes when Gareth Davies volleyed home an impressive opener.

In the second half, John Fisher-Cooke was given a free header to seal the victory for the League of Wales side.

The second half saw the game open up as both sides began to attack strongly. Tom Jelley shot wide shortly after the resumption and Paul Smith saved well at the feet of Ian Griffiths minutes later.

Jason Hanif saw his effort saved by the Welsh team's goalkeeper, before Town produced perhaps the best opening of the match when Steve Hoult crossed for Ross Hannan, who just headed marginally over the bar.

Prestatyn looked strong and had they delayed their runs slightly instead of getting caught repeatedly offside, could well have added more, but Casuals survived and were looking capable of grabbing an equaliser when disaster struck and John Fisher-Cooke was given a free header to seal the victory for the League of Wales side.

Casuals' second game in Wales saw them draw 1-1 with Llangefni Town.

Mark Towse gave Casuals the lead, before Kevin Lloyd equalised for the hosts.
