Sutton 5 Orpington 0

Sutton Schools Borough U11s took a little time to settle but eventually ran out as comfortable winners in this Southern Counties Cup tie on Saturday.

After a scrappy opening ten minutes, Sutton's class began to tell and Dominic Shaw's fierce shot from the edge of the box gave them the lead. A superb cross from Conal O'Leary set up Jason Bloor for number two and it was O'Leary again providing the ammunition for Noor Husin to head in at the far post from a corner.

Orpington hit back in the second half but with stand in skipper Lewis Bagshaw and Josh Double marshalling the defence superbly, Sutton never looked in any real danger. Aaron Phillip headed in to maintain his record of a goal a game this season and then added the fifth after some clever interplay with Bloor.

South West Trains player of the match with a series of devastating left foot crosses was Conal O'Leary.
