WESTSIDE 1 BAWFC 4

British Airways Women's FC made it six games unbeaten and top the Greater London League Division Two South with maximum points after beating an impressive Westside side away from home this Sunday.

Westside started the game brightly and were unfortunate to concede early on after Louise Dutton's corner slipped through the Westside keeper's hands and gifted BA the first goal of the game.

Westside came close to getting an equaliser after finding themselves one-on-one with BA's keeper Svitlana Klachko, but Klachko denied Westside a goal with a fantastic save.

BA Women's got their second goal after some excellent work from Olive Nwachukwuguru beating Westside's defence down the left wing before crossing it in for Char Bungaroo to cooly slot it in.

BA's Women's defence denied Westside anymore clear opportunities in the first half, whereas BA's Livvy Cole came close to making it a third but was denied by the Westside keeper.

The second half was mainly played in BA's half, but they quickly dashed any hopes of a Westside comeback with an unstoppable strike by Louise Dutton from 20 yards out.

BA Women's defence were working hard to try and keep a clean sheet, with Simone Rapa covering well to ensure that any Westside chances were kept to a minimum.

Livvy Cole made it 4nil for BA with a great lob from 25 yards out, scoring her first BA goal of the season.

Westside got a well deserved late consolation goal 5 minutes from time after a great corner was headed in leaving Klachko no chance to keep it out.

BA Women's reserves suffered another heavy defeat away to Long Lane Reserves.

Both teams play at home this Sunday at the Concorde Centre, 2pm kick-off.
