Carshalton Athletic made it through to the FA Cup second qualifying round after a convincing win over West Sussex side Pagham on Tuesday night, writes James Barrett.
The Robins took their second chance, following a 0-0 draw at Nyetimber Lane last Saturday, by putting on a tireless performance to secure a 3-0 success.
In the last five minutes of the first half Harry Harding gave the home side the lead with a low 20-yard drive, before Ola Sogbanmu headed the second - his third goal of the season.
Despite the loss of Dawayne Campbell to a bamboozling red card decision early in the second half, Carshalton continued to keep Pagham on the back foot and captain Lewis Taylor added the third from close range following some neat build up play on 68 minutes.
Carshalton will host Chalfont St Peter in the second qualifying round at Colston Avenue on September 22.
