Kingstonian’s two-goal match winner Bobby Traynor may have enjoyed getting back on the scoresheet against Aveley, but he insisted getting three points was more important to him.

Traynor converted two Sam Clayton crosses in the efirst half as Ks secured a comfortable win that kept them six points adrift of a the Ryman Premier League top five finish.

The Kingsmeadow star has endured mixed fortunes this term spendng some time on the bench after Christmas, as boss Alan Dowson has successfully deployed one man up front in a run that has brought only two defeats in 13 league games.

Traynor, who hit his second and third goals of 2012, was up top on his own at the weekend, but was more than happy to put in a shift for the good of the team.

"The most important thing was the 3 points and keeping in with a chance of the play-offs,” he said.

“Any formation the gaffer chooses is fine with me.

“It’s been doing the trick and we’ve only lost twice in the last 13 games.

“We’ve just got to get three points on the board every week, there’s no points target.”

Kingstonian could have won more comfortably as Dowson's men dominated proceedings from the outset with Ryan Woods continuing to impress in midfield.

The former Balckburn Rovers reserves star tested visiting keeper Lamar Johnson on multiple occasions as well as shaving the post twice.

Johnson’s opposite number Rob Tolfrey had a quiet afternoon and was rarely troubled.

First-half chances also fell to Clayton and Saheed Sankoh, and while the pace dropped in the second half, Ks cruised always had too much for the struggling visitors.
