Mark Harper boosted his relegation-threatened Hampton & Richmond squad this week by signing teenage Brentford left-back Ryan Blake on loan.

The 19-year-old has joined for an initial month and goes straight into the team for tomorrow's tough Blue Square South match with promotion-chasing Dartford at the Beveree.

Blake has made one appearance for the Bees as a 60th minute substitute against Yeovil Town almost two years ago and is currently part of their development squad.

He recently played five games for the Beavers' relegation rivals Farnborough, scoring once.

While Blake has come in, striker Stuart Duff has been allowed to stay on loan at Kingstonian until the end of the season despite scoring three times in his last five games.

On Saturday, Hampton's goal led a charmed life as they secured a 1-1 draw with East Thurrock United in the second round of the FA Trophy.

Charlie Moone's third goal in four games put them ahead but Thurrock dominated the match and eventually equalised with eight minutes left.

The two teams will slug it out again on Tuesday for the right to go to Northwich Victoria in the next round.
