Boss Alan Dowson has insisted Allan Tait's departure to Bognor Regis Town is not the end of the Kingstonian road for the striker.

The former Tottenham Hotspur trainee switched to the Ryman Division One South league leaders on Friday, but was unable to inspire his new team to a win as they drew 0-0 at fellow title chasers Dulwich Hamlet.

Tait has struggled for form and fitness this term, but still has two goals in five starts and Dowson has told him he is welcome back at Kingsmeadow once he is firing on all cylinders.

"Allan's been out for a while and so this is a chance for him to go down to Bognor and get some matches under his belt," he said.

"We think highly of him and are very much planning to bring him back once he's ready."
