Fans flocking to Colston Avenue this season could be in for a pleasant surprise after owner Paul Dipre unveiled a sweeping set of improvements both on and off the pitch.
The Robins’ bid to play attractive will no doubt be boosted by the relaying of the turf, which looked in pristine condition when unveiled to the public on Tuesday evening.
But Dipre is also bidding to improve the match-day experience, installing new £15,000 food facilities and erecting a beer garden behind the main stand.
The clubhouse has been renovated and repainted at substantial cost, with a new club shop, turnstiles and ground entrance set to be completed by opening day.
Dipre, who was also responsible for pushing through the new club logo and colours for the coming campaign, refused to be drawn on how much in total he had splashed out on the project, but did admit that he expected to make a profit within two years.
