Barry Stevens scored six minutes from time to take Carshalton Athletic into the Ryman Premier League play-off final tonight.
It was a reward for Hayden Bird's side spirit having just seen a two-goal lead slip away at Tonbridge Angels.
Things looked good when Richard Jolly gave the Robins, who boast an outstanding away record, the lead midway through the first half.
Charlie Ide, the former Brentford striker, then doubled their advantage three minutes after the restart.
But Tonbridge dragged themselves back into it, Carl Rook pulling one back with 20 minutes left and Paul Booth hauling them level nine minutes from time.
But the Robins produced the perfect response three minutes later when Stevens got the Robins' third.
Carshalton will be away at Staines Town, 3-0 winners over Sutton United tonight, in Saturday's play-off final.
