Hampton & Richmond Borough 1 (Frost 85) Swindon Town 2 (Cox 19, 65)

League One side Swindon Town sent a very strong line-up to take on Hampton & Richmond Borough at the MM Cox Beveree Stadium on Tuesday night.

Hampton playing their third game in five days found it hard going against a lively and pacey Robins side.

Former Reading man Simon Cox scored both goals for the visitors, the first in the 19th minute when he lost his marker and scored at the near post with a header from a corner.

He got his second in the 65th minute when he hammered home a rebound from close range. Francis Quarm limped off in the 34th minute after a heavy challenge.

Hampton did have their moments up front, Lawrence Yaku twice being denied and Ian Hodges heading just wide.

Five minutes from time Elliot, Frost pulled a goal back after an interchange of passes with Stuart Lake.

Hampton & Richmond Borough's Marcello Fernandes is taking a few days off pre-season training at the weekend - but it's not going to be because he needs a rest!

He is taking part in this weekend's British Red Cross 3 Peaks Challenge.

The challenge is to climb the three highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales in 24 hours.

Scotland's Ben Nevis is the first target, then on to England's Scafell Pike, and finally into Wales for Snowdon, as Marcello says: "A piece of cake after Dev's pre-season training."

Marcello has attracted plenty of sponsors from the club (funds to go to Save The Children charity) - he has also promised to shave his beard off if he attracts sufficient sponsorship.
