An excellent fast-paced move down the length of the pitch carried on by Shaun McAuley whose pass put Yaku into space and he chipped the ball over the advancing Rhys Taylor.
Chelsea's youngsters had looked very lively in the first half and Hampton keeper Matt Lovett was kept busy.
Lovett made saves from Morton Nielsen and two from Daniel Philliskirk, while Taylor had to deal with a long-range shot from McAuley.
The second half was highlighted by Yaku's superb strike before the multi substitutions disrupted the flow of the game.
