Ambitious Banstead Athletic manager Dave Leworthy is eyeing the Ryman League but knows it will only become reality if his side can improve their away form, writes Marianne Reardon.
Having overseen two home wins and two away defeats in his first four games in charge at Merland Rise, Leworthy's team sit 15th in the Combined Counties Premier Division table.
He has been frustrated by injuries to defenders and a lack of attacking football on the road, but is adamant his experience will tell in the end.
"We are going to finish as high as we possibly can, but I am already looking forward to next season," said the former Kingstonian player.
"I have seen a lot of clubs play over the years. I want to take on this one from the start of a season and get them into the Ryman League."
Leworthy is counting on a home win on Saturday over a Cobham side hit by the departure of their chairman, manager and most of their first XI.
"I have heard they have had a bit of change there," he said.
"But in this league I don't think winning any game is easy.
"We will approach each team the same - playing attacking football with as many shots in the box as we can."
