Eastbourne Town 2 Kingstonian 1

Kingstonian crashed out of the FA Cup at Ryman League new boys Eastbourne Town with a disappointing defeat on Saturday.

All the action came at the end, with Simon Huckle getting an immediate equaliser to the Yellows' first goal, only for Liam Baitup to grab his second in stoppage time.

Ks started well enough, with striker Bobby Traynor shooting wide from distance in the second minute.

He whipped a ball to Saheed Sankoh, whose low well-struck dive was saved by Greg Nessling at full stretch.

NJ Lampton had a go from 25 yards but his drive dipped over.

On 26 minutes a Lampton cross saw a Sankoh flick to Traynor whose header was only only half-cleared to Cartwright, who shot wide.

A poor clearance from Nessling fell to Sankoh who bore down on the Yellows goal but his eventual drive was no trouble. With five minutes to the break, Lampton's free-kick fell to Cartwright in the home box, his overhead kick was neat and on-target but straight at Nessling. It was not until the end of the half that Town should their potential up front when a Steve Dallaway cross from the left found Luke Denton and his bullet header went just over.

Five minutes after the break, it was midfielder Wes Goggin who pushed the ball back to Traynor who curled his drive over.

Then Sankoh also from distance drove the ball over the bar. A long throw from Denton was punched clear by Luke Naughton in a crowded Ks goalmouth.

Then a worrying run by Matt Aldread into the Ks box was frustrated by skipper Jon Coke.

On 69 minutes, a Sankoh run and long-range drive was well held by Nessling. Then a long, high ball from Cartwright saw Traynor go up with Nessling resulting in a spill, but a nudge was spotted.

An inswinging Lampton corner was punched clear by Nessling. But in the final 10 minutes it was the home side who started to apply serious pressure.

Aldread fired over, then sent a perfect through ball deep into the Ks box for Baitup but Naughton's run was well-timed and he smothered the ball.

Tommy Moorhouse responded for Ks, finding Traynor out on the left and his far post cross was fingertipped away by Nessling.

Then a Moorhouse cross from the right landed on the roof of the Yellows net. With six minutes to go the home side went close again when John Piercy cracked the Ks backline, setting sub Graham Holman free but Naughton made an excellent block.

An Adam Davidson shot from the right was well held by Naughton.

With three minutes remaining the Yellows made the breakthrough. Piercy found Holman just inside the Ks box, he swung the ball out to Baitup hugging the far post who headed home.

A shocked Ks responded immediately, substitute James Rose's volley from the edge of the box was pushed away by a full-stretch Nessling.

But Ks were level in the 89th minute, when an overhead kick from Traynor found Huckle unmarked on the far post and he coolly slipped the past Nessling.

Just when it looked like both sides would have to do it all again, Ks lost concentration.

A cross from Aldread out on the right saw Baitup carve space in the Ks goalmouth and his glancing header gave Naughton no chance.

With five minutes of additional time Ks desperately tried to grab a goal. Goggin deep in the Yellows box struck over.

Then a Lampton free-kick found Rose deep in the home box but his forceful header was pushed away by a full-stretch Nessling.

Jason Turley curled a ball in from the left which flashed across the face of the home goalmouth but it was not to be for Ks.
