Kingstonian 3 Tooting & Mitcham 3 In-form Bobby Traynor's last-gasp equaliser earned Kingstonian a valuable point in a six-goal thriller against Tooting & Mitcham at Kingsmeadow on Saturday.

Having twice been behind in the first half, the high-flying Terrors had looked like securing three points when they took a 3-2 lead nine minutes from time.

But the ultra-cool Traynor saved the day with his 13th goal in 14 games in the final minute.

Ks had gone ahead in the second minute in rather fortunate circumstances.

Neil Lampton's free-kick from way out on the left was missed by everyone and crept into the far corner of the net past a full-stretch Dave King.

Tooting heads didn't drop and, after Luke Garrard had saved a fierce volley from ex-Ks favourite Ronnie Green, they equalised in the 14th minute. Skipper Allan McLeod picked out striker Ben Abbey, who drilled the ball powerfully past a diving Garrard.

Fifteen minutes later, however, Ks retook the lead. Following a long run from Simon Huckle, on-loan Woking striker Saheed Sankoh fired home powerfully into the roof of the net.

But Tooting were undetered and they equalised again in the 36th minute.

Green took off down the right and blasted the ball wide of a full-stretch Garrard.

Tooting snatched the lead for the first time in the 81st minute when the pacy Paul Vines slipped into the Ks box and his rising drive gave Garrard no chance.

Ks, who had earlier been unlucky to see Sankoh's goal-bound effort cleared off the line, kept battling away and were finally rewarded in the very last minute.

Substitute Summers slipped the ball out to the right to send an unmarked Traynor racing into the Tooting box, and he hammered a powerful shot past the diving King.
