Walton Casuals boss Kim Harris does not want to see former club Kingstonian relegated from Ryman Division One South - unless it means his side being safe.

The ex-Ks manager crosses swords with his old team on Saturday, and a win for the Stags would put the teams level on points with a game in hand.

Relegation for Casuals would almost certainly scupper plans for a £240,000 redevelopment of their clubhouse.

"Every game is important for us, but this one is more in terms of the ties I have with Ks and the possibility of relegation," he said.

"The last thing I want is to see Ks relegated, but we will be giving it 120 per cent to get the result we need."

Harris's men have been hampered by injuries this season but, with the likes of Gary Bull, Craig Carley and Michael Carpenter returning, results have picked up. Carley scored in Saturday's 3-1 home defeat to high-flying Hastings United.

The Stags had been level until conceding two late goals.

But Harris is confident his side has the quality to stay up.

"Dartford equalised late, as did Maidstone who are top. Results show we have the quality to compete," he added.
