It was a night that few will want to remember - essentially gifting Wealdstone all three goals in a 3-0 Ryman Premier win at the Beveree - in a match that turned on a couple of mad moments from Joel Ledgister.

Yet the first half hour, the Beavers made most of the running with Charlie Moone having the best opportunities.

On seven minutes, Ledgister was played in by Moone, but his chipped shot drifted just wide

A couple of minutes later, Moone connected with a George Wells cross but North was well positioned and saved it easily.

After a corner was won from a Tommy Brewer deflected shot, Moone again found himself in the box with the ball, but his shot came to nothing off a defender.

Wealdstone weren't passive by any means and Wes Parker had a golden opportunity, prodding his shot wide after a frantic goalmouth scramble and with 10 minutes to the interval, a wicked shot from Jay Siva from out wide only just beat Rodney Chiweshe's far post.

Then the game turned. Joel Ledgister had already been cautioned as he attempted to get on the end of a cross, needlessly using his hand to propel the ball into the net.

On 41 minutes, Ledgister was defending the near post for a corner and as the shot came in, he reflexively used a hand to clear the ball. Unfortunately this gave the referee had no option but to issue a second yellow card and then the red.

Sean Cronin duly buried the ball past Chiweshe to give the Stones the half time lead.

The second half saw the Beavers try and overcome the deficit but Wealdstone were in no mood to let them.

The visitors piled on the pressure and the Heavers were having to defend deep to keep them out.

Tom Petts shot was saved by Chiweshe, then McGleish could only do the same just before the hour.

The Beavers were finding it difficult to create clear chances, Joe Turner's shot from distance hitting the defender and the looping deflection gave North in the Wealdstone goal a few moments of panic before he tipped it over.

After Hutchinson had fired wide, the Stones won a corner on 72 minutes. As the cross flew deep, the ball hit Tommy Brewer as he came back defending, and gave Chiweshe no chance.

There wasn't a lot left in the tank for the Beavers as the Stones were in no mood to let them into the game - Moone forced an excellent save from North as he hit a volley on the turn, the keeper just getting enough on the shot to tip it over the bar.

After gifting two goals, the third goal sort of summed up the game for the Beavers. Bray and Chiweshe got into a mix up over a pass back, and as Bray slipped, Peter Dean pounced on the ball and ended up side footing it into the unguarded Hampton net.

It was that kind of night.
