Walton & Hersham suffered their first defeat in Ryman Division One South when Mark McLeod’s red card handed Hythe Town the initiative with only six minutes on the clock.
The visitors to Stompond Lane took full advantage winning 4-0, and it could have been worse but for a penalty save by the Swans’ keeper Tim Roberts.
Dave Cook was the man denied, but he did bag two goals, and Shaun Welford and Michael Yianni sealed a bad day at the office for Swans’ manager Steve Baker.
Walton & Hersham go to Sittingbourne tomorrow night (Tuesday) and Corinthian Casuals on Saturday.
