Tottenham Hotspur may have the best goal-scorer in the Premier League according to Alan Pardew, but the Crystal Palace boss reckons fans could be talking about Connor Wickham instead after Saturday’s clash.
Spurs arrive at Selhurst Park sitting fourth in the Premier League and top of the form table for the past six games.
They boast just one defeat, at home to Leicester City, in that time.
At the other end of the spectrum, Palace are second from bottom having won once in the past six games and scoring only two goals in that time.
It means that Harry Kane, the subject of Pardew’s adoration, has scored more goals in six games than the entire Palace team, with three.
Pardew said: “Spurs have the best goal-scorer in the Premier League, in my opinion, in Harry Kane. If Kane was in our team we'd be in the top four.
“Mauricio Pochettino has done terrifically well in both his jobs in England. He's got what he wants on the pitch.
“He's got a chance of a really decent legacy there. Whether you can have a legacy in the current game, I don't know, but you can dream.”

He added: “It was a really tight game [at White Hart Lane], there wasn't much in it. I think they're in a better place than they were before, and we're not so - they're favourites for this one.”
Palace striker Wickham made his first start in four games against Manchester City, much to Pardew’s delight.
“Wickham coming back to us has given us a huge lift. If he gets goals on the back of his performances we're going to have a real player,” he said.
“People will start talking about Connor Wickham and not Harry Kane if Connor starts adding goals.
“But what ifs and maybes are not the business we're in, we're in the business of results.”
