Just because Saturday is family day at Hampton & Richmond Borough, boss Alan Dowson will not his men to be soft touches at the Beveree tomorrow.
The Beavers crashed 3-1 at Ryman Premier League leaders Leiston – after Nicke Kabamba had given Dowson’s the lead – and will look to bounce back when Hendon visit tomorrow.
Hampton are hosting their first family day to coincide with national Non-League Day with discounted tickets available to parents and their children.
Dowson says the move is part of a long term strategy to establish the club at the heart of the community.
“I believe that a football club should be part of the community and be family orientated,” he said.
“In making families the centre of the club, together we can make Hampton & Richmond Borough the number one family and community club in the Ryman League.”
Saturday’s defeat was only Hampton’s third league reverse of the campaign.
