Met Police boss Jimmy Cooper is hoping the FA Cup can fire up his side’s Ryman Premier League season.
Ten-man Blues battled back from 2-0 down at Lewes to draw 2-2 through injury time goals from Steve Sutherland and Manny Osei.
Wednesday’s game at Hampton & Richmond Borough was abandoned to leaving the Met only four points above the drop zone.
Cooper’s side had a similarly slow start last term before a dream run to the FA Cup first round proper and the Imber Court chief, who signed Hayes & Yeading’s Stefan Cox and former favourite Ty Smith this week, is hoping for a repeat perforamnce at Chalfont St Peter tomorrow.
“We’ve got a very different team this year and I’m sure we will get it right,” he said.
“The cup run kicked us into life last year and hopefuly something similar can happen again.”
