At the Lily B Girl’s league at Croydon Arena on Saturday, Croydon Harriers girls' squad all but secured their spot in the end of season final with an emphatic win in their fixture.
Croydon scooped nine event maximums and a further eight individual victories on a dominant afternoon.
The sprints proved a fruitful source of points for the hosts, Toni Bryan and Marcia Sey both clocked 12.6secs in the U15 girls' 100m, with the latter also triumphing in the 75m hurdles in 11.2secs.
Tosin Salami enjoyed her second quickest time of the season in the U17 women’s 100m in 12.3secs, with Esinam Dake winning the B event.
In the 200m, Kayla Bowley (25.5secs) and Zoe Dake (26.5secs) notched a maximum in the U15 girls, and Chanice Gordon (26.5secs) and Chloe Howard (29.1secs) matched that feat in U17 women’s category.
On the field, Tamia Meggie-Graham (4.26m) and Serena Angoura (3.25m) won the U13 girls' long jump, while Ellie Catterall (U13 girls' discus), Sasha Howard (U13 girls' javelin), Esinam Dake (U17 women’s shot) and Glalys DaCosta (U15 girls' hammer) also picked up wins.
Croydon enjoyed a clean sweep in the five sprint relays.
