Brentford striker Gary Alexander took his goal tally to 10 in his last nine games to take the plaudits on Saturday, but boss Uwe Rosler was just as pleased with strike partner Calyton Donaldson.
The 27-year-old former Crewe Alexander star scored for fun in League Tow last season, persuading Rosler to make him his key summer signing.
Donaldson has only netted five in 28 appearances this term, but the Griffin Park chief is not bothered and admitted - on Saturday - he does not always get the credit he deserves.
"I’m very happy with Clayton, his work-rate and what he contributes to the team," he said.
"I think the partnership between him and Gary is very good. Clayton can really trouble defences.
"He didn’t take too many touches against Wycombe, he laid it off and went again. He was more direct, more simple and he benefited from that."
