Stuart Cash is enjoying his spell in AFC Wimbledon hot seat - but wants boss Terry Brown back sooner rather than later.

The Dons' assistant manager has taken over first team affairs for the last fortnight, with Brown taking time off to look after his ill wife Suzy.

Brown has been given as much time as he needs by Wimbledon and Cash insists things will be ready for him on his return.

"It has been a good experience for Simon Bassey and I but I hope Suzy gets back to full health quickly as we are missing Terry here," he said.

"He is a focal point of this football club and has been a major driving force to get us where we are.

"Simon and I are just trying to keep things as normal as possible and get points on the table so that when he comes back to work things will just be normal.

"The only change for me has been dealing with the media and that's certainly not a chore and it's been enjoyable.

"My phone has been constantly ringing with press and agents but that's part of football, and I think Terry deals with that very well.

"He said I would have a lot of people ringing but I have really enjoyed it."
