AFC Wimbledon may be riding high in League Two but manager Terry Brown has still given his midfielders a word of warning.

Strikers Jack Midson and Christian Jolley continued their sparkling form in Morecambe last weekend, scoring the goals that lifted the Dons into third thanks to a 2-1 win.

Between them, the pair have scored all seven of Wimbledon's goals in their last three league matches and although Brown had nothing but praise for them, he admitted concern over the lack of strikes from midfield.

"Jack and Christian have struck up a partnership which I would like to think will carry on for two or three years - long may it continue," he said.

"They both have fantastic work ethics and run about and harass more than any other forwards I know.

"But I know I have to get goals from other areas too.

"As much as I am happy with the partnership, I need to let my midfield players know they need to score goals."

Luke Moore missed his second consecutive penalty in Morecambe and could find himself replaced on spot-kick duties by Sammy Hatton - a matter Brown is leaving the pair to sort out themselves.

"I am not too sure who will be taking them now," he said.

"Luke Moore and Sammy Hatton are fighting over it at the moment and I will leave it up to them, I have got faith in them both."
