Goalkeeper Mikhael Jaimez-Ruiz is set to land a deal at AFC Wimbledon if the Dons can loan out young goalkeeper Jack Turner.

The 27-year-old Venezuelan, who has played for Barnet and Aldershot Town, has been on trial at Kingsmeadow and played in the friendly victories over Fulham and Staines Town.

Turner was understudy to first choice stopper Seb Brown last season but at just 18 years of age, Dons manager Terry Brown is eager for him not so spend another season on the bench.

“We are trying to get Jack out on loan as he is a fantastic keeper who needs games, not to be sitting on the bench all season,” he said.

“If that happens, then we would like to get Mikhael to cover Seb Brown but if we cannot do that then Jack will stay on.

“It is not that easy to loan a goalkeeper out, especially this early on in the season.”

Trialists Szymon Sidorowicz and striker Bas Savage were due to find out this week if they were to be offered deals, with Brown was also set to decide his new captain for the coming season following the departure of former skipper Danny Kedwell.
