Andy Scott says he has every faith his current squad can make project Brentford a success.

The 38-year-old landed the League One manager of the month award last week but has endured seen back-to-back defeats ever since.

The Griffin Park chief, under pressure prior to the side’s revival, admits he is in the market to bring one or two fresh faces to the club in the wake of defeats to MK Dons and Aldershot Town.

But he insists it is about assembling the personnel in place to get the Bees challenging at the right end of the table - and they are getting there.

“I have 100 per cent faith in all the players I’ve brought to the squad and have at the club,” he told the Football League podcast this week.

“This is a long term project and we have deliberately got a squad together that can develop and be successful over the next two or three years.

“The board have backed me all the way with that and they will continue to do so until we get it right.”
