The Danny Mardell Knockout Challenge 2010 will take place at the fantastic Stamford Bridge, home to Chelsea Football Club on Sunday, May 30.

It’s not too late to sign up your team, so that you can live the football dream and play on a premier league pitch.

The event is a six-a-side football tournament for 32 teams (up to 10 players per team).

Each team plays a minimum of three games at 15 minutes per match.

The tournament runs in a World Cup style competition with group stages, knockout round, quarters and semis with the final played 10 vs 10 on the full pitch of Chelsea’s glorious Stamford Bridge.

Tickets are priced at £80 per player which includes all of your footy, lunch and a free drink afterwards (ONE pint of the available beer from the bar inside the ground) and £5 for all spectators.

Spectator tickets are available to buy on day at the gate.

If you want to sign up your team, please contact us the fundraising team today at the national office on 0845 2300372 or email alexa.dizon@downs-syndrome.org.uk for full details.

Throughout the day celebrity supporters will be coming and going to show their support, cheering the teams on and mingling with the spectators.

It will be a fun filled day for all that take part or come along to watch.

The Professional Football Association (PFA) is fielding an ALLSTARS team again this year.

Christian Smith - Parent Member and PFA Commercial Director said, "The PFA Allstars team enjoyed a wonderful day at last year’s Danny Mardell Knockout Challenge held at Chelsea FC.

"Despite a combined age of over 400, the ex-pro's that took part still showed glimpses of magic in reaching the knockout stages but the very high standard of the competition proved just too much at the end.

"All the players asked me to pass on their thanks for a very well organised and highly entertaining day out for both them and their families, we all look forward to supporting the event this year and beyond.

"Well done to everyone at the DSA for organising a great football event."
