Loanee Lewis Grabban may have played his last game for Brentford, but Bees boss Andy Scott reckons it opens the door for others to prove they deserve a second chance.

The 22-year-old Millwall winger will return to the New Den to help manager Kenny Jackett’s side in their bid to secure a League One automatic promotion place.

Grabban, who has scored twice for the Bees during his short stay in west London, has impressed at times when playing wide on the right and is a large reason why Sam Saunders is kicking his heels on the sidelines.

The former Dagenham & Redbridge right midfielder has had a stop-start campaign since kicking-off the season well and now seems to be a permanent fixture on the bench since making his last start against Leyton Orient in March.

“Lewis has done really well for us and I’m grateful for the efforts he has put in and I’m disappointed to lose him,” said Scott.

“But it gives others a chance to make an impression now and for next season.”
