Bees defender Karleigh Osborne says he is not worried about landing a new contract extension, he is just concentrating on his football.

The 22-year-old helped the Bees keep a 14th cleansheet of the League One season in Saturday’s 0-0 draw at Bristol Rovers - their fourth shut-out in his last eight appearances.

It took a training ground bust-up with boss Andy Scott prior to a 1-0 win at Stockport County to set him on his way to a run of eight first-team starts in nine games.

And Osborne insists he is only thinking about keeping up the consistency he believes he has finally found after six seasons at Griffin Park.

“It was nothing more than words about something we both didn’t quite agree on. Not everyone agrees with each other. It happened on the training pitch and that is where it stays,” he said.

“We’ve both moved on. It was good to get our frustrations out and everthing has gone well since.

“I haven’t really thought about my contract situation. Since the gaffer has brought me in to the team I’ve just tried to play to the best of my ability.

“Who knows what will happen?”

Brentford stretched their unbeaten run to nine games at the weekend, in a very busy period for the playing staff which has seen them play five games in 16 days.

But Osborne there will be no let up between now and the end of the season.

“The boys have got tremendous heart. We have kept pushing through what we have had to do,” he added.

“We are pushing our bodies as hard as we can to get the results we need.”
