Quins winger David Strettle says the row over the quality of the Wembley pitch has not crossed his mind ahead of his side’s clash with Saracens on Saturday.
The playing surface at the famous stadium has come under fire after the weekend’s FA Cup semi-final action in north London saw players struggle to keep their footing.
But Strettle says that is not something to concern him and is only looking forward to playing at the home of English football.
“You hear a lot about all the pitches we play on and then turn up to find them absolutely fine,” he said.
“It will be the same for both sides, so it isn’t something I’ve really thought about.
“I’m a big Manchester United fan so was disappointed not to be picked for the England game against Argentina at Old Trafford last summer.
“It is a bit different for a rugby player to play at Wembley, but the atmosphere should be something else.”
