Andy Scott may have called for his team to extend their unbeaten run at the weekend, but he has warned fans Lincoln City may be a tougher nut to crack than they might think.

The Imps have won just one of their opening six league games and are currently four places above the League Two drop zone.

Peter Jackson’s side have suffered three straight defeats on the road so far, but Scott insists the visitors will provide an examination of his team’s promotion credentials - and the fans can play their part.

“It you want to get promoted you have to make sure you are picking up points at home as the bare minimum and that is the attitude we must take this week,” he said.

“The reports we have had in suggest Lincoln are a better side than their form suggests.

“We had a huge amount of support at Wycombe and if the fans can generate the same sort of noise at home we should be in for a cracking game.”
