Harlequins prop Joe Marler has been named in the England U18 line-up for Sunday's Test match with Argentina - but will not captain the side.

The 18-year-old skippered the team in the opening tour match against Tucuaman Under 18s but has been relaced by Newcastle Falcons number eight Alex Gray.

Head coach John Fletcher’s side head into the match on the back of four wins from four matches against Tucuaman, Buenos Aires, Mendoza and Uruguay.

If England are successful on Sunday they will complete an impressive Grand Slam of wins this season, adding five triumphs to an undefeated Under 18s Six Nations Festival earlier this season.

Fletcher said: “Everything we have been working towards on this four week tour comes to a head on Sunday and the players are really up for it.

“This has been a great learning experience for the lads especially the Under 16s players who joined the tour party, but now we have one final hurdle to overcome.

“As always against Argentina, this is going to be a very physical encounter but we are really looking forward to the match and I am sure the players will step up to the challenge and do themselves proud.”

The team is as follows: 1 Joe Marler 2 Jamie George 3 James Currie 4 Jamie Gibson 5 James Gaskell 6 Will Welch 7 Jacob Rowan 8 Alex Gray 9 Jordi Pasqualin 10 Rory Clegg 11 Will Hurrell 12 Freddie Burns 13 Andy Forsyth 14 Marcus Watson 15 Tom Catterick Replacements: 16 David Blackwell 17 Lee Imiolek 18 Mako Vunipola 19 Tom Holmes 20 Sam Jones 21 Joe Barker 22 Sam Harrison 23 Owen Farrell 24 Christian Wade 25 Sam Edgereley 26 Jack Wallace
