England head coach Brian Ashton has added Harlequins scrum-half to the England training squad ahead of their RBS Six Nations match against Scotland at Murrayfield next Saturday.

The 21-year-old joins a 30-man squad that will meet in Bath on Sunday evening, just reward for his recent outstanding form for his club and with the England Saxons.

Quins director of rugby Dean Richards has been touting the former Leeds Carnegie player as being worth a senior national call-up, describing him as one of the three leading number nines in the country.

Care has also represented England at Sevens, and at U21, U20 and U19 level.
