The English Football League have announced they fully intend to 'deliver a succesful conclusion' to the current season. 

Amid the coronavirus pandemic, the EFL suspended all formats of the game until the beginnging of next month at the earliest. 

In light of the suspension, the were rumours that the current season would be declared null and void, prompting the EFL to make a statement.

Following a meeting by EFL board members on Wednesday, the wellbeing of all those involved was the priority with all decisions dependent on 'fast-changing circumstances.'

As it stands however, the EFL intend "to deliver a successful conclusion to the 2019/20 season, subject to the over-riding priority around health and well-being.

"Plans continue to be developed on the agreed principle that it is in the best interests of the EFL and Clubs to complete the current season at the appropriate time."

The EFL also confirmed it will aid financially, revealing they are putting measures in place for a '£50million short-term relief package,' for clubs.
