Jeanvier insists that his team must stay focused if they are to achieve promotion to the Premier League at the end of the season.
The Guinea international was speaking after scoring his first goal of the season courtesy of goal-line technology in a tense 3-2 win against Middlesbrough at Griffin Park.
When asked about his team’s performance, Jeanvier explained that it was a tough game and the Bee’s fought well against good opposition.
“Today was a difficult game, against a very good team in this league. The most important thing was that we won today”.
“I think sometimes we need to keep the ball better. But I think we need to keep this form up if we want to get somewhere at the end of the season”.
Whether Brentford can go all the way and make it to the Premier League is a question that will be answered in the coming months, but Jeanvier claimed that his side must take it one step at a time and remain focused on the task ahead.
“We must take it game by game and focus on the next game. If we want to do something great at the end of the season, we have to stay focused”.
“We have the best defensive record in the league and we have got a good balance in the team”.
“We have the right mentality in the group. Everyone works for each other, and we are very happy with where we are. We have a lot of quality. We will stick together and fight until the end”, he said.
