Here’s how the Millwall players rated in their 2-0 win at home to Reading.

Bartosz Bialkowski 7

Had very little to do all game. The visitors failed to register a single shot on target.

Mahlon Romeo 8
A constant threat for the Reading Backline. Tirelessly up and down the flanks all game. Visiting defence struggled to contend with his lightning speed. Was called on very little defensively. Had a great game.

Shaun Hutchinson 7

Had very little to do. Had Sam Baldock in his back pocket all game. Has formed a great partnership at the back with Cooper.

Jake Cooper 7

Solid display against his former club. Very little to do defensively today. An attacking threat from set pieces for the Reading defence.

Murray Wallace 7

Good interchange plays with Ferguson down the left all game. Great overlap play and was solid defensively when he needed to be, particularly in the first half.

Jed Wallace 7

Worked well with Romeo. Was brilliant going forward. Played a vital role in the opening goal of the game with a brilliant cross to Smith who failed to disappoint.

Ryan Woods- 7

A brilliant way to kick-start his Millwall career. Looked composed on the ball. Was involved in a number of key attacks and looked good defensively. Difficult to see why Stoke let him go out on loan, especially given their position in the table.

Composed on the ball. Made a number of key challenges. Stepped in well for Williams.

Jayson Molumby 6

Composed on the ball. Worked well with Woods in there today. Going to be competiton for places in the centre midfield when Williams comes back from suspension.

Shane Ferguson 7

Good return to the side after two games on the bench. Some great attacking play on the left side.

Tom Bradshaw 7

Was a real threat for the Reading backline. Worked tirelessly up top chasing down loose balls and pressing the visitors defence. However, was quite wasteful in front of goal today. Had a number of opportunities on goal which he failed to take advantage of. A good performance nonetheless.

Matt Smith 9

Fantastic performance after finding himself on the bench in midweek. Was a real handful for the Reading defence who couldn’t contend with him. A great aerial threat, winning nearly every header. Brilliant hold up play and knock downs for Bradshaw. A typical old-fashioned centre forward. A great performance rounded off with a goal to show for this efforts.

SUBS:

Mahoney 6

Involved in a number of key attacks going forward. A good replacement for Ferguson.

Bodvarsson 7

The Icelandic international was a real threat when he came on to replace Smith. A similar sort of striker. Great finish to kill the game off and put the game out of sight for his former club.

Mitchell 5

Cameo appearance for the youngster who failed to touch the ball for the two minutes that he was on the pitch.
