Here;s how the Brentford players rated in their 2-1 win over Cardiff City.

David Raya 5

Unlike him he looked unconvincing under the high ball and flapped at more than was comfortable.

Rico Henry 6

Linked up well with Benrahma in the first 45 and got beyond the winger countless times in the attacking third. Defensively solid too which has often been his downfall. Should’ve scored but could only find the side netting from a Jensen delivery.

Ethan Pinnock 6

Lost possession a couple of times in the first half but always made amends. Strong and powerful in the air and a force when defending set pieces.

Pontus Jansson 8

Made an uncharacteristic error in the first half, but other than that he was flawless. Commanding at the back and has transformed this Bees soft underbelly this season.

Henrik Dalsgaard 8

For every Benrahma or Mbeumo you need a Dalsgaard. Not flashy, not headline material but gets the basics done which are essential for others to shine. Dealt with Hoilett and Murphy well down the right.

Christian Norgaard 7

Exquisite first half breaking up play and giving it to those who can create. Looked to tire in the second half as the City pressure mounted.

Mathias Jensen 7

Added a touch of class in the midfield. Deliveries from dead balls and in play were on the money.

Josh Dasilva 7

Turning into a powerhouse. So strong when running with the ball and composed. His shooting boots weren’t present today however.

Said Benrahma 9

A Premier League player in waiting. Outstanding first half and petrified the Bluebirds backline. Overplayed it at times when a taking a pop at goal was on.

Bryan Mbeumo 7

Took his goal well and offered an outlet down the left. When Cardiff upped the intensity and physicality he went into his shell somewhat.

Ollie Watkins 6

Got on the score sheet but on the whole was quiet. Won a number of challenges late on which kept the Bees down the right end of the pitch.

Kamohelo Mokotjo 6

Passing a little off but did what he was asked to do in the Bees midfield against a rallying Cardiff side.
