Crystal Palace have enquired about taking Liverpool forward Rhian Brewster on-loan in January.

Brewster is highly rated at Anfield but with lack of first team action it’s thought they would be willing to let the 19-year-old leave short term.

Aston Villa are also interested in taking one of the stars of England’s U17 World Cup winning side from two years ago in the upcoming transfer window.

Liverpool will make a decision on whether they will allow Brewster to leave Anfield after their League Cup fixture, coincidentally against Villa, next month.

Brewster, although involved in the first team has only made two senior appearances this season, both in the League Cup.

It’s well known Palace boss Roy Hodgson is keen to add to his attack with Jordan Ayew and Christian Benteke both failing to convince.

Goalscoring has been a problem for the Eagles this term with just 11 goals, four of which from Ayew.

Crystal Palace fell to a 2-1 home defeat to Liverpool on Saturday as they slipped to 13th in the league.
